I explored the theme of Constructed Landscapes. My feelings towards are neutral, because I never found myself hating or loving the work I was doing or producing. I was influenced primarily by Tracey Moffat. The image that I took the most inspiration from was Picturesque Cherbourg No.3, because the overlapping, rips and tears in her work had intrigued me and would allow me to deconstruct and reconstruct the images of landscapes I already had.
For my experiments I had printed out some of my images from homework photoshoots of landscapes that I had taken, and tore pieces off them apart to then glue them back together and write/draw on the reconstructed image. I chose to do this because it created a link between my work and Tracey Moffat's Picturesque Cherbourg images. I developed this idea by using Photoshop to cut and overlap images from my next photoshoot. I chose to do this because I wanted to practice using different processes and medias when developing my ideas to create a variety of different outcomes and to not stick to just one method of working. I think that I need to be very disciplined and persistent as I mostly worked alone. I think I struggled with some of the taks and being imaginative but I worked through them alone problem solving them as I went along.
I mostly uploaded all of the experiments as I went along. This made it possible for me to review and refine as I went along. I didn't really like taking images around my local area and it felt like. a limited place as that is where i was comfortable. I have enjoyed creating the online gallery as it was a small exhibition. I loved using images to create a background.
The final outcome was a collage which I created. Had i had more time I would have loved to create something different.
